Your Warm Winter Comfort

I’m not comfortable
in this body
when your hands
aren’t touching it
My skin feels icy
and brittle
without yours
pressed against
it
Your knees nestled
behind mine
Your chest
to
my back
Your breath
in my hair
on my neck
Our fingers laced
together
like the rest of
our limbs
Please, my love,
hurry back to me
Bring back your
love and warmth
because I’m
not capable
of getting
through
this
wretched winter
without them
